KISHTWAR, MAY 24, 2021: To effectively contain the spread of COVID Pandemic, the District Administration Kishtwar, under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma has conducted mass sampling and testing of shopkeepers from Jamia Masjid to police station in the Kishtwar Township.
Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramod Kumar informed that 191 shopkeepers/vendors were tested in two days for COVID19 infection, of which 1 shopkeeper, 2 villagers and a health department employee was tested positive.
The Covid positive patients have been kept under medical supervision in home isolation and contact tracing is being done by Surveillance teams, he added.
As per the officials, the testing has been intensified for detecting positive cases and contact tracing to break the chain of transmission.
Similarly, massive testing is also being conducted in containment zones to contain the COVID-19 infection.
District administration has also appealed the employees and residents of containment zones to extend full cooperation during the COVID-19 testing.
