576 kits containing PPE kits, masks, sanitizers distributed in district
ASHA workers to be deployed at polling locations with thermal scanners

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mr Kumar Saurabh Raj today appealed the voters to follow covid protocols while casting their precious vote on February 20 vidhansabha elections.

In a statement issued here today district Election Officer added that round circles have been chalked out at all polling stations in order to ensure that voters stand at a distance from each other.
All the polling stations will have sanitizers for the elections staff as well as for voters. 576 kits have been distributed to the polling staff in district.
Each kit contains PPE kits for the polling staff, dustbin liners, D cut bags to put returnable materials, sanitizers, tissue papers, face Shields marks and thermal scanners.
Also ASHA workers have been deputed at the polling stations to scan each and every person with thermal scanner before entering the premises.
Mr Kumar Saurabh Raj added that last one hour of voting 5 to 6 pm has been fixed for covid symptomatic patients.
