CP LAUNCHES CLEANLINESS & PLANTATION DRIVE IN POLICE LINES, ALSO PAY OBEISANCE AT GURUDWARA SAHIB

CLEAN AND GREEN ENVIRONMENT KEY TO HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS SOCIETY- NAUNIHAL SINGH

Jalandhar, November 18-

In order to keep the environment clean and green, Commissioner of Police Naunihal Singh today launched a plantation & cleanliness drive at police lines Jalandhar wherein various saplings would be planted in coming days, with CP himself planting a few saplings to mark the launching of this drive.

Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner of police Naunihal Singh said that this drive would continue for a week under which an extensive drive to clean the surroundings of police lines would be carried out besides ensuring maximum plantation in the campus. He further added that the clean and green environment is the key to a healthy and prosperous society which is necessary for our growth adding that he urges all the officials to emulate the move by personally participating in plantation and cleanliness missions. He asked the cops to take care of the saplings too.

Meanwhile, the CP also visited the Gurudwara Sahib situated at the police lines where he paid obeisance along with his colleagues. Accompanied by DCP Gurmeet singh, Dr. C.S. Pruthi and industrialist Amardeep Singh, Mr. Singh said that we all must adopt a positive approach towards nature to sensitize our future generations for the preservation of the environment. He also mentioned that the drive would continue for weeks and all out efforts would be made for maintaining and giving police lines a new look.
