To handle such calls, sign language experts have been deployed round the clock at the State Emergency Response Centre (SERC). Now, differently-abled (Deaf) people are approaching Haryana 112 system by sending SMS to 112 or pressing the panic button or by dialling 112 and pressing button 8 after 5 seconds.
Linking all emergency services to a single toll-free number for the whole State was indeed a daunting task, but it is being achieved with the active support and guidance of the State government.
