Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam implements scheme to install solar systems in homes
Chandigarh, March 25 – To promote solar energy in Haryana, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam has implemented a Scheme to install solar systems in homes as per the guidelines of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Under the scheme, 40 per cent subsidy will be given for 3 KW and 20 per cent subsidy will be for 4 KW to 10 KW for installing solar system from listed firms.
While giving information in this regard, Managing Director of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam, Dr. Balkar Singh said that by installing a solar system of 1 KW, the consumer can save up to about Rs 6,000 in a year and the expenditure done for installing this solar system can be retrieved in 5-6 years. The Corporation has set rates per kilowatt according to various categories.
He said that the above rates have been set by Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam to install solar systems on the roofs of houses. The consumer is required to pay only the remaining amount after adjusting the rebate amount to the firm. Consumers can reduce their electricity bills by installing solar systems as per their requirement.
