ADMINISTRATION IS COMMITTED TO ENSURE SAND RS 9 PER CUBIC FEET AT MINING PIT –DC AND CP
STERN ACTION AGAINST PEOPLE INDULGE IN ILLEGAL MINING

To ensure the rate of sand at the mining point pit must not be more than the government fixed rate which is Rs 9 per cubic feet and zero tolerance against any sort of illegal mining, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on Monday evening inspected Kadiyana Mining site.

Accompanied by Joint Commissioner of Police J Elanchezhian, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar took stock of the mining operations at the de-silting site and said that as per the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, administration is committed for keeping a vigil over the illegal mining and would ensure sand to be sold at the government’s fixed rate which is Rs 9 per cubic feet at mining site (excluding transportation charges).
They said that joint teams of civil and police have been formed and directed to be extra vigilant for checking the illegal mining and take immediate stern action. They further said that teams would carry out surprise checking round the clock for effective monitoring over the illegal mining.
In the morning, teams led by SDMs Dr Vineet Kumar, Jagdeep Sehgal and others along with police counterparts checked Chuhrwal, Boot and Mazarakalan sites.
