Appeals people to act sensibly amid unlockdown measures
KISHTWAR, JUNE 01, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today called upon the people to be more cautious and act sensible with the ease in lockdown measures.
The people should continue to follow the COVID appropriate behaviour to avoid the resurgence of pandemic, the DC said while briefing media about the current covid scenario in the district.
He informed that the restrictions on business and economic activities have been eased with some reasonable restrictions which will be gradually relaxed.
While giving details about the current COVID care scenario in the district, he informed that the positivity rate has dipped to an all time low of 2.78 this week with simultaneous improvement in the recovery.
He said presently there are only 265 active cases in COVID care centres or in home isolation with government supported facilities. He further disclosed that out of total 22 Micro Containment zones, 2 have been completely de-notified, while 2 others have been partially eased after proper satisfaction.
The DC further informed that district administration has intensified the Vaccination drive for inoculating all persons above 45 year, while vaccination for persons in 18-45 years age group is also going to be initiated soon.
Speaking on the COVID management measures, he said that a sufficient stock of Oxygen cylinders and concentrators are available in the district hospital, while 685 beds are available in the DH and allied CCCs and 680 bed capacity has been created at Panchayat level in rural areas.
He further informed that 737 Covid kits containing Oxymeter and essential medicines, have been provided to the Covid positive patients in home isolation and besides, medicines and oxygen, PPE kits, testing kits have been made available to Panchayat level Centres.
Regarding relief, he said various individuals oriented and social security beneficiary schemes have been extended to the destitute and vulnerable sections of society to mitigate their sufferings in the present crisis
