4 locations for Administrative Quarantine with 700 bed capacity identified
GANDERBAL, MAY 19, 2021: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today complemented the general public for adhering to Covid-19 SOPs and guidelines as ordered in the district and said that it has proved instrumental in bringing down positivity rate to 5 percent from 7 percent in the district.
The DC informed during the press briefing that for smooth functioning of the Oxygen generation plant which has been recently installed at District Hospital, an oxygen Audit Committee is framed which included Nodal officer, Technical expert, Mechanical and Oxygen Plant Operator.
She said that the committee is constituted with an aim to ensure above 90 percent purity of oxygen is maintained and to ensure sufficient medical oxygen supply.
Elaborating on surveillance in DH including Covid wards, the DC said that 24 CCTV cameras are installed in the hospital and in coming days one surveillance camera would be installed at Oxygen Generation Plant.
Regarding Corona Kits for Home Isolation patients, Jyotsna said that 1040 Corona Kits are received which will be distributed among all the Home Isolation patients till today evening.
She also briefed on the Administrative Quarantine Facility and informed that 4 locations are identified for Covid Care Centers with bed capacity of 700 which include Physical College Gadoora, Sainik School Manasbal, JNV Hatbara and Youth Hospital Sonamarg.
The DC appealed to the people who are in home isolation especially those who have comorbidity and are not able to follow SOPs properly at home due to any reason shall make use of Administrative Quarantine Facility where all healthcare facilities are available adding that it can prove instrumental in bringing down the positivity rate.
She said that district administration is always available for the timely redressal of grievances of the people and sought cooperation from all sects of the society in the same way as they showed cooperation earlier to contain the pandemic effectively.
