SECRETARY RED CROSS HANDED OVER THE FINANCIAL AID TO FAMILY, ALSO ASSURES OF BEST POSSIBLE HELP IN FUTURE TOO

In a healing touch to the family of a 16-year-old boy admitted in PGI Chandigarh for treatment after being paralysed, District Administration Jalandhar led by Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori provided financial aid worth Rs. 50,000 for the treatment of ailing youth. Secretary Red Cross Jalandhar Inderdev Singh visited the family in village Dhada, Phillaur and handed over the two cheques worth Rs. 25,000 each from district administration and Jalandhar Red Cross society to the affected family.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said it came to his notice that Mohit, a 16-years-old boy from Jalandhar District has suffered the paralyse attack on February 13, subsequently admitted in the PGI Chandigarh for treatment while the financial condition of the boy’s family was not well as his mother was reportedly working as a domestic help in village. Hence, it was need of the hour to provide financial assistance to this family during these trying times.
Mr. Thori reiterated the administration’s commitment to assist underprivileged and weaker sections of society with such endeavors. He also assured the family of any kind of help in future too, if any, so that the family does not face any kind of financial burden.
