KISHTWAR,29 JUNE,2021-
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today appealed to the people to take Covid vaccine to eradicate Covid infection in the district.
‘The positivity rate has receded in the district but positive cases are still there which demands strict adherence to covid appropriate behavior,’ he said here at the weekly press briefing.
Addressing media persons, he said that district administration has acted tough against the violators who created hurdles in the implementation of COVID safety measures during the lockdown and post lockdown period of second surge of pandemic.
He appealed to the public to continue to follow COVID appropriate behaviour as the threat of COVID19 pandemic is not over yet.
Stressing upon the vaccination, he appealed to the people to cooperate with the health department by taking vaccine doses as it is the only protection against the virus.
The DC also briefed media persons about the current COVID19 Scenario and informed that the positivity rate has dropped to 1.28% and the recovery rate was all time high in the preceding week.
He said that only 8 COVID positive patients with moderate severity are at present admitted in the district Hospital, while the home recoveries have outnumbered the hospital recoveries this week which is a sign of relief for District administration. He stressed that covid cases have reduced but not ended and any laxity in following covid appropriate behavior can cost dearly.
