Sets timeline for various development activities
POONCH, MAY 30: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of Rural Development Department (RDD), here at a meeting.
During the meeting, various issues were discussed which include, completion of PMAY (Gramin) houses, Aadhar seeding of MGNREGA workers, Aadhar based payment, payment of MGNREGA wages, status of MGNREGA works, registration of contractor at panchayat level, B2V3 works, progress regarding construction of bunkers and various other issues related to development works.
The chair was informed that 86% Aadhaar seeding of MGNREGA workers has been done for which the DDC directed the BDOs to achieve the 100% seeding within 10 days. Regarding timely payment of wages, the DDC directed the BDOs to accelerate the process and pay the wages within the stipulated time frame as per the timely payment module.
It was informed that 11% Aadhar based payment have been done. The DDC directed the BDOs to achieve the cent percent targets in one month in coordination with bank authorities.
Weekly target for completion of PMAY(Gramin) houses was also set to achieve the target for providing housing to all homeless villagers by March 2022.
The DCC asked Executive Engineer (REW) to complete the tendering of pending works of B2V3 works in 3 days, besides allotment and completion of the same in one month. He further asked to issue tenders to complete pending work of incomplete bunkers in one week.
The meeting also discussed the registration of contractors at Panchayat level. It was informed that as all the works under RDD sector are to be tendered as such impetus is being given to register at least 5 persons per Panchayat as ‘D’ class contractor and registering authority in PWD has been directed to furnish a weekly report in this regard.
The DDC impressed upon BDOs and executing agencies to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas by adopting innovative methods..
The meeting was attended by ACD Poonch, DPO, Executive engineer REW, all BDO’s of district Poonch.
