DC Rajouri discusses Covid control measures with doctors, Sewa Bharti members
RAJOURI, MAY 20, 2021: To discuss the measures for the effective containment and management of COVID19 in the district, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today convened a meeting with the concerned officers from the Health Department and members of the Sewa Bharti Association.
Among others, Principal GMC, Dr Brij Mohan Sharma; DFO, Dr Arshdeep Singh; Dy.CMO, Dr. Anees Altaf Nabi; DHO, Dr. Parveen Yograj; MS DH, Dr.Mehmood besides the members of the Sewa Bharti Association including Bharat Bushan Vaid; Rajinder Gupta; Danish Sharma; Nishu Gupta; Koshal Gupta; Vijay Gupta; Ranjeet Tara; Raja Rattan Singh attended the meeting.
Discussion on a number of measures being taken to mitigate the pandemic in the district, including testing, vaccination, checking at entry points, medical oxygen supply besides other steps were discussed threadbare in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the NGOs amid Coronavirus in providing relief to the needy people and asked them to work with the same zeal and in close coordination with District Administration.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that the District Administration has decided to reserve five beds in a suitable building of every Panchayat of the district to keep the COVID patients in isolation and the building would be designated as a COVID Care Centre. “The logistics arrangements in terms of water and power supply, oxygen concentrator and other essentials would be made available in the centres” he added. The members of the Sewa Bharti Association were asked to deploy their volunteers in the centres to facilitate the Covid patients. The Deputy Commissioner appealed the members of the Sewa Bharti Association to generate mass awareness among the common masses regarding the COVID appropriate behaviour.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the vaccination sites have been increased from 50 to 150 in the district and 56 percent age appropriate persons have been vaccinated. He sought the active cooperation of the members of the Sewa Bharti Association to encourage the left out beneficiaries to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned officers to ensure the timely distribution of the medical kits to all the COVID patients. He also directed the concerned officers to conduct a door to door testing.
