DC Ramban reviews modalities for enumeration, survey of migratory population

RAMBAN,29 JUNE,2021-
Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam, who is also the Principal Census Officer, chaired a meeting with the concerned officers regarding the enumeration and survey of migratory tribal population of the district.
The meeting was attended by the CPO, Kasturi Lal; ACR, Dhirendra Sharma; DSEO Ganesh Kumar;  CEO, CAHO, DSHO and other concerned officers. The Tehsildars also  joined the meeting through virtual mode.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the aim of this survey is to formulate the plan for extending benefits to migratory population for their socio-economic uplift. He said that based on this  survey a range of different facilities will be provided to them by the government which includes transit facilities, livestock services, healthcare and education, livelihood initiatives, essential services and developing required infrastructure for the nomads.
The DC asked the concerned officers to put in added efforts to ensure that the data collection exercise is conducted as per the format and completed by 21st of July and submitted to the higher authorities for necessary action at their end.
 The DSEO briefed the meeting that an elaborate plan has been chalked out to carry out the enumeration and survey, while Tehsil level teams comprising concerned Tehsildar, ZEO and TSO have been formed for the purpose.   The ACR, Ramban, was nominated as the Nodal Officer for the purpose and concerning details were sought from the pertaining departments.
Besides discussing the deployment of staff that is Enumerators and Supervisors, the details of the routes of migrating nomads alongwith their cattle and bovines was also sought. The details of availability of Mobile Schools, Health Centres, Veterinary Centres and the Tehsil wise details of pastures, Dhoks (summer huts) or Bhek were also sought from the concerned officers.
