DC Reasi heard public’s issues at Mahore

District Administration Reasi under the headship of District Development
Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib, today heard people’s problems during Block Diwas programme held at Mahore. The block Diwas programme was done on the identified locations every Wednesday as part of the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s public outreach campaign for the rural areas.The local people of all surrounding Panchayats of block Mahore, Gulabgarh and Chassana took part in the programme and kept forward their problems and developmental issues. SDM Santosh Sukhdeva, BDC Chairpersons, ARTO, CEO, XENs, BDOs, BMO, ZEO, District and block level officers and PRIs were present there. Issues related to Water, Power supply, road, transport, ration, ICDS, Nutrition, education, health were resolved on the spot after face to face interaction with District officers, while for several other issues, the DDC fixed gave a proper time for their resolution. Speaking on the occasion, Indu Chib informed that the main motive of the conducting such programmes is to make better service delivery and grievances redressal mechanism. She said the officers of Tehsil, Block and District level would remain available at these events to hear the public. Meanwhile, several grievances were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt resolution through an established tracking system. In the programme, a review was also taken by DDC on all the issues mentioned by local people in previous programs. Moreover, instructions were also given to the departmental functionaries for visiting their respective jurisdictions and listening to public and keep holding awareness programmes, highlighting various individual beneficiary schemes across the Panchayats. Similar, public hearing events for listening public grievances were also held at Reasi, Katra and Arnas.
