REASI, MAY 18: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh, today released funds amounting to Rs. 1.98 crore to different blocks under Material Component of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) to liquidate the material liability of the works executed during Financial Year 2020-21.
The Deputy Commissioner, who is also District Programme Coordinator MGNREGA, also issued directions to the functionaries of Rural Development to utilize these funds in a judicious way by adopting operational guidelines of the scheme and with prime focus on timely payments, Aadhar seeding and adoption of COVID-19 SoPs and guidelines at the MGNREGA work sites.
It is pertinent to mention that under MGNREGA 100 day work is provided to the adult members of rural households who are willing to work which has a double impact of generating employment and development of rural infrastructure in the in the rural areas.
