DC Samba interacts with Rural Self Governing bodies on Covid control measures

SAMBA, MAY 05: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today held an interactive session on covid control measures with members of Rural Self governing bodies through video conference, here at DC Office.
The Deputy Commissioner, in separate sessions, informed the DDC members and Sarpanches about the various measures taken by district administration regarding containment of covid-19 including setting up of dedicated covid hospital at Samba, establishment oxygen manufacturing plant, covid control room, telemedicine system, intensified testing and covid vaccination across the district samba. Deputy Commissioner Samba exhorted upon all DDC members and sarpanches to actively participate in the vaccination drives and sought their cooperation in implementation of corona curfew which is being enforced in district from today evening. Deputy Commissioner informed that corona curfew is being enforced in the district samba strictly from today evening till (Monday) 10 May due to spike in the corona positive cases, however essential services shall be exempted.
She also laid emphasis on effective implementation of Covid SOPs by the members of the Panchayat bodies, including usage of masks and Social- distancing at public functions, including marriages, funerals and other social gatherings.
The DC Samba said that government is well prepared to tackle the covid pandemic, however, she said that the cooperation of the society is imperative for effective and efficient containment in the district. She said District administration samba has opened dedicated helpline numbers viz. 01923246915 and 01923241004 and a 24×7 tele medicine 6006500528 for facilitating covid related issues. In addition a helpline no. for child welfare committee for children in distress 9149407633 has also been enabled, she added.
