‘Prahari, doctors on call & helpline initiatives prove helpful in pushing positivity rate below 2%’
SAMBA, JUNE 01, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today urged the people not to lower guard with the start of the unlock process and advised them to implement lessons learnt during the lockdowns.
She was speaking at a press conference convened to brief media about the latest Covid scenario in the district.
She said that there was a need for utmost care amid the ease in corona curfew to avoid resurgence of cases. She asked the people to implement the lessons learnt during the month-long lockdown.
“Positivity rate is on constant decline in district samba and with that ease in lockdown has been ordered from Monday. Shops, business establishments and other activities are resuming with scheduled timings only for slowly regaining the normalcy” said the DC.
She said daily Night curfews from 8PM to 7AM & weekend lockdown from Friday 8 PM to Monday 7am will continue as a precautionary measure against the Covid19 .
Speaking on the measures taken by district administration, the DC said that initiatives like ‘Prahari’- under which spirited individuals and prominent persons of locality can volunteer their services in containment zones within their wards, locality and villages was a unique step for promoting public participation in controlling the virus spread. “Other initiatives like ‘doctor on call-6006500528 and dedicated helpline numbers- 01923-246915 & 01923-241004 and Daily online yoga classes from 7am to 8 Am proved prudent in restraining the Covid spread and helping in addressing Covid cases promptly.
Deputy Commissioner Samba while appealing to the public for following the Covid appropriate behaviour, which is more so important Post lockdown, also exhorted social media platforms for updating and sharing feedback with administration regarding Covid containment and other issues.
