The District Level Review Committee (DLRC), District Level Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Action Committee (DLRAC) meeting was held today under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner/CEO Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve at Conference Hall, Baroo.

The meeting was aimed to review the performance of banks under the Annual Credit Plan in which heads of all line departments, RACC Head State Bank of India, Cluster Head J&K Bank, Kargil and Branch Managers of public and private sector banks operating in the district were present.
On this occasion, Annual Credit Plan 2022-23 for Kargil District prepared by Lead District Manager was presented and discussed for approval.
Lead District Manager, Tsering Wangmo informed that Bank’s total deposits and the total advance was Rs 2623.38 and Rs 997.29 respectively which is 38 percent as a credit deposit ratio up to the quarter ended December 2021.
She informed the house that the banks have achieved 45.89 percent by disbursing a total amount of Rs.170.42 crore against the target of total priority sector.
The overall achievement under priority as well as non-priority sector lending by all the banks in Kargil district stood at 73.59 percent.
DC Santosh instructed all banks to focus on priority sector lending and thereby increase the credit deposit ratio in the district.
He emphasized the need to make Government Social Security Schemes popular among the masses like Pradhan Mantri Suraksh Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna and Sukanya Smridhi Yojna so that people take benefits from these schemes.
DC Santosh instructed the banks and line department to conduct financial literacy camp to cover the maximum beneficiaries.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the performance of the State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Kargil, in which a total of 10 skill development training programs were conducted and 289 candidates were trained to make them self-employed during the financial year 2021-22.
DC further instructed the LDM to set a target of each bank to cover under the Social Security Scheme to the existing customers/beneficiaries.
He further instructed to improve the priority sector lending and CD ratio as per the Annual Credit Plan 2022-23 and instructed to improve the CD Ratio of the district and informed that a special subcommittee meeting will be held next week.
