District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today reviewed lending in Priority and Non-Priority sectors under the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) and other individual beneficiary schemes here at a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting held in Conference Hall, New DC Office Complex.

Additional District Development Commissioner,  Sham Lal; GM DIC,  Khalid Hussain Malik; LDM  Nasir Bhat; DPO  Sunil Bhutyal; DSWO/DIO Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Cluster Head J&K Bank, the representatives of different Banks, besides concerned district officers attended the meeting.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion on achievements in priority and Non priority sectors vis a vis Annual Credit Plan (ACP) and other individual beneficiary Schemes.
At the outset, while highlighting the overall performance for the 2nd  quarter of the Financial year 2021-22 under the ACP,  Lead District Manager (LDM) Nasir Bhat informed that District  has  recorded an achievement of Rs 190 Cr  which constitutes 54% against the target of Rs. 349 Cr as on 30th September 21.
 The achievement under priority sector advances is Rs 64 Cr, while in Non Priority Sector the achievement is Rs 126 Cr. The credit disbursement has increased from 23%to 54% from the last quarter.
The DDC directed the Heads of Banks and Line Departments to facilitate timely credit under different Government Sponsored Schemes to the applicants particularly the unemployed youth.
He further issued directions to Banks as well as Line Departments for mass awareness of different welfare schemes among the unemployed youth and poor & weaker sections of the society about the social security schemes and enroll mass beneficiaries under such schemes by scaling up financial Literacy programmes to achieve financial inclusion.
He further stressed upon all concerned to initiate more focused efforts in employment generation and skill development by propagating the benefits of the various government launched schemes to the deserved beneficiaries and those in unorganised sectors to achieve the stipulated targets & goals of Development.
The DDC directed the concerned bank representatives and heads of line departments to submit the detailed report to the chair for rejection & pendency of cases and ensure Nil pendency in every segment of the credit by the end of this month.
In the meeting, the chair was apprised that  for the first time the CD Ratio has crossed  the benchmark of 40% in this quarter. A sub Committee has been constituted to actively monitor the CD Ratio and draw monitorable action plan to achieve more than 60% CD Ratio in annual increments.
The DDC enjoined upon the authorities to review branch level performance   taking into consideration the potential and credit absorption capacity of the region and initiate necessary action accordingly to reach to 60 to 70% of achievement by the end of 3rd quarter under priority segment and other sub targets.
