Deepotsav on Mahashivratri will have wonderful look for city of Mahakal: CM Shri Chouhan

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Bhagwan Mahakaleshwars city will definitely be aglow during the festival of lights on the occasion of Mahashivratri. The festival of Mahashivratri will be celebrated in a grand manner. On this day the whole city will be lit with earthen lamps.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan visited the auditorium of Triveni Museum during his stay in Ujjain today in the city and sought information about the Deepotsav to be celebrated on the upcoming Mahashivratri festival. Through a presentation, Collector Shri Ashish Singh apprised that the district administration is holding regular meetings from time to time for discussion on the preparations for the upcoming festival of Mahashivratri. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people of the city for the Deepotsav. All social organizations are also extending special support. During the Deepotsav, lamps will be lit in the main ghats of the city as well as in the main commercial areas. Two persons each will be assigned the work of lighting per 200 diyas. Preparations are being made by the district administration to create a world record of lighting about 12 lakh diyas during this period.
