Inspected ongoing development works in villages

To find out first hand information about development works in villages, Deputy Commissioner Ms. Isha Kalia today visited various villages of Mohali where development works were going on with the grants released by the Punjab Government.
In this occasion Ms. Kalia inspected the ongoing development works were being initiated in the district. At the same time the concerned officers present on the occasion were also directed to complete these works within stipulated time frame.
Deputy Commissioner Ms. Isha Kalia said that she visited 6 clusters of 35 villages. She said that most of the works in these villages were related to streets, drains, playgrounds, community centers etc. She said that development works worth crores of rupees were to be carried out in various villages. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal was also present during the visit.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner also coordinated with Sarpanches of all the villages and apprised them about the works of street drains, drainage water and others. She also enquired about pending works from sarpanches.
District Development and Panchayat Officer Mr. Sukhchain Singh Papara, Sarpanch Cholta Kalan Meena Kumari, Sarpanch Malikpur Harbans Lal, Sarpanch Garanga Sukhwinder Singh, Kulwant Singh Tripathi, Gurinder Singh Sarpanch Kheri, Manjit Singh Sarpanch Bajheri, Sarpanchs, Panches and prominent people of various villages were also present on the occasion.
