As a part of the National Voter Awareness Contest, a poster making and slogan writing contest was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Leh today. The students enthusiastically participated in the poster making and slogan writing contest under the theme ‘My vote is my future, Power of one vote’. The programme was organised by the District Election Office, Leh as per the directions of the Election Commission of India.

Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Tajamul Ara, who is also the SVEEP nodal officer of Leh, along with the officials of the District Election Office, Leh was present to check the arrangements of the programme. She was accompanied by the Vice-Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Leh, teachers and other officials.
An awareness rally on National Water Mission was also organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Leh in collaboration with District Administration Leh.
The students participated in the rally to raise awareness about the national water mission and wholeheartedly read the ‘Jal Jagran Abhiyan-Catch the Rain’ pledge to show solidarity toward the importance of rainwater harvesting in India.
