The District level Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition-2024 under five sub-themes health, lifestyle for environment, agriculture, communication and transport, computational thinking was organized today by District Institute of Education and Trainings Kargil (DIET) at Chhutuk Kargil.
Executive Councilor, Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain; Director Education Ladakh, Tsering Paldan; Chief Education Officer Kargil, S. D. Namgyail; Principal DIET Kargil, Abdul Quyoom; HODs; faculty members of DIET and students from different schools participated in the event.
In the inaugural session of science exhibition, EC Zakir Hussain, along with Director Education Ladakh, Tsering Paldan and CEO Kargil, S.D. Namgyail, inspected the stalls set up by various schools.
Students from different schools showcased innovative science models (projects), demonstrating creativity and knowledge in the field of science. Students from 19 schools participated and showcased their creative models.
In his welcome speech, Principal DIET Kargil, Abdul Quyoom welcomed and thanked all the guests and participants for their participation in the exhibition.
While speaking on the occasion, the Director Education Ladakh, Tsering Paldan congratulated all participants and appreciated DIET Kargil for organizing such events saying these will provide an opportunity to develop scientific temper among participants.
CEO Kargil, S.D. Namgyail expressed his happiness, praising the students for sharing their ideas and innovative projects at the exhibition. He also appreciated the teachers’ guidance. He emphasized that the event provides a valuable platform for students to express their creativity and showcase their innovative projects.
During the event, the students from different schools also shared their experiences. Appreciation certificates and mementos were also distributed to the position holders under each sub-theme.
All the 15 position holders in different themes will participate in the UT level Science Exhibition-2024. In the end, lecturer Dr. Wilayat Ali presented vote of thanks.
The UT level exhibition will held at Leh on September 20 and accordingly the top selected students will be participating in the national level exhibition after proper screening by the national experts.
