Chandigarh, March 9 – Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta today inspected the runway complex of Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar and inaugurated the work of final layer of concrete runway pad.
After the inspection, the Urban Local Bodies Minister said that the work on the second phase of the runway is in progress. The final layer of concrete will be made 340 mm thick. Apart from this, approval has been received for the construction of boundary wall, on which an amount of Rs.17.86 crore will be spent. He directed the officers of the Public Works Department to start the construction work of the boundary wall at the earliest.
Dr. Gupta said that with the opening of the airport in Hisar, new doors of development would open up as well as new employment opportunities for the youth. He also directed the officers to complete the works to be done under the second phase within the stipulated time frame.
