SAYS DON’T SCARE BUT FIGHT AND WIN AGAINST VIRUS
ALSO RECEIVES SECOND DOSE OF COVID-19 VACCINE AT CIVIL HOSPITAL
HOSHIARPUR, APRIL 27: Wearing PPE kits, MLA Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and his team members led an awareness March against COVID-19 in the main bazars of Kot Fatuhi.
While taking jab of COVID vaccine’s second dose here at local Civil Hospital, the MLA Dr Raj Kumar said that they had started Corona Awareness March in Kot Fatuhi area to sensitise people besides creating awareness among masses during alarming circumstances. A slogan had also been given ‘Don’t Scare from COVID but Fight and Win’ against this infection, said the MLA adding that this is high time to be vigilant amid rising cases and people should not to be complacent at any cost with regard to safety precautions.
While appealing to people between the age group of 18 and 45 years to register for vaccination to be started from May 1, the MLA said that all eligible beneficiaries could register themselves at www.cowin.gov.in or through Arogya Setu app.
“I am taking second shot of vaccine jab and didn’t face any kind of complication after receiving the first shot. People must come forward for vaccination purging aside all fears and doubts, which are totally unfounded” said Dr Raj Kumar. All the Social, Religious and NGO besides political parties should join hands with Government and Health Department to strengthen the efforts being made to keep the virus at bay, he added. The MLA mentioned that strict compliance of safety precautions was need of the hour and appealed all social, religious and political outfits to come forward to sensitize maximum people for this noble cause.
While leading awareness march in the market of Kot Fatuhi, the MLA said that he was wearing PPE kits just to create awareness towards safety guidelines and COVID appropriate behaviour. Meanwhile, the MLA alongwith volunteers distributed face masks besides checking oxygen level of people with oxymeters. He put emphasis on the need for being alert to win over this war against the virus. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Dr. Vipan Pachnangal, Baljit Singh, Surinder Singh, Sarpanch Behbalpur Surjit Singh, Narinder Parbhakar, Dr. Paul, Sarpanch Laksihan Rajinder Singh, Jassi kushhalpur, and Balkar Singh.
