Dushyant Chautala launches an ‘e-filing’ portal for the convenience of consumers

Chandigarh, 5 February: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala today launched an ‘e-filing’ portal for the convenience of consumers from his office at Haryana Civil Secretariat. Now consumers will be able to register their cases online from anywhere on the website www.edaakhil.nic.in.

President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Haryana, Justice (Retd.)Mr. T.P.S. Mann, Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Mr. PK Das, Joint Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affair Department, Dr. Inderjeet were also present on the occasion.

After launching the ‘e-filing’ portal, the Deputy Chief Minster who also holds the portfolio of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that this is a major step taken by the State Government in the interest of consumers. Now, they can register their complaint from anywhere through e-filing portal and not only this, they can also see the status of their complaint online, he added.

PK Das said that the process of filing cases of consumers online is very simple. Consumers can also learn the above process through videos uploaded in Hindi and English language on the website www.edaakhil.nic.in, he added. He said that first of all, consumers have to get themselves registered through their e-mail ID and after registration; they have to follow the entire process step by step given on the website.

He said that a total number of 597 cases were received in the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission during the year 2020. Similarly, a total of 8614 cases were registered in all the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions of the state during the year 2020, he added. He said that now with the introduction of ‘e-filing’ portal, consumers will be benefitted.
