EC Chandan convenes meeting for augmentation of Agriculture sector in Kargil
KARGIL, JANUARY 14, 2021: In order to discuss various ways and means for the upliftment of the Agriculture Sector in the Kargil District Executive Councilor for Agriculture Muhammad Ali Chandan today convened a meeting with the Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Kargil Kacho Muhammad Ali Khan, and Nodal Officer Agriculture, UT Ladakh Muhammad Hussain Khan at Council Secretariat here today.
The EC Agriculture directed the CAO, Kargil to seek suggestions from the progressive farmers of the district to uplift the Agriculture Sector. He instructed the CAO to submit the suggestions from solicited from the farming community to the LAHDC along with necessary recommendations of the experts from Agriculture Department in due course of time.
EC Chandan said that the recommendations and suggestions will be taken up with the UT Administration, Ladakh and Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India for further course of action.
It was decided in the meeting that the Agriculture Department, Kargil will organize a seminar for the progressive farmers of the district in the coming days under the chairmanship of the EC Agriculture.
