EC Tashi extends congratulations to Padmashree Tsultim Chonjor
KARGIL, JANUARY 27, 202: Executive Councilor (EC) for Tourism and Zanskar Affairs Er Phunsog Tashi has extended congratulations to Tsultim Chinjor from Stongday Zanskar for having conferred with the prestigious Padma Shree Award for the year, 2020.
In his congratulatory remarks, EC Tashi extended gratitude to the UT Administration Ladakh, CEC LAHDC Kargil, DC Kargil, and SDM Zanskar for recommending the name of Tsultim Chonjor to the Government of India for this prestigious award.
EC Tashi added that Tsultim Chonjor is the only person from Kargil to have honored with this prestigious award and the people of Zanskar are overjoyed with this news.
It is pertinent to mention here that Tsultim Chonjor in 2014 out of his own expenses, selling his land and property initiated the construction of a motorable road from the border of Himachal Pradesh to village Kargyak Lungnak Zanskar, which extends to the length of 38 kilometers.
