Executive Councillor, School Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain inspected the night hostels at GHSS Panikhar, GHSS Baima Purtikchey, GHS Parkachik, GHS Tangole, GHS Kargee, GGHS Panikhar, GHS Sangrah and interacted with students and staff members.
The Executive Councillor was accompanied by the team of officers including ACR, SDM Sankoo, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Education Officer constituted for monitoring/ inspection of institutions/nights hostels/winter coaching classes of class 10th & 12th.
The night hostel at Panikhar runs in KGBV hostel building with the total 84 students.
The night hostel for the students of HS Parkachik, HS Tangole, GHS Panikhar & HS Kargee are clubbed and run in a rented building at Panikhar with 48 students.
Also the night hostel at Baima Purtikchey is also operates in a rented building separately for boys and girls with 29 students. The night hostel at GHS Sangrah operates in the school campus with 18 students.
The committee members enquired about the facilities being provided to the students in detail, directed the teaching faculties to give their best to the students, and assured all possible help from the administration.
The students thanked and appreciated the steps taken by the UT Administration, LAHDC & District Administration for establishing night hostels by providing all logistic support, especially during the harsh winter.
The Executive Councillor enquired about the conduct of the pre-board examination and advised the students to give their best effort to achieve 100% results in the coming CBSE Examination.
