Punjab Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains would unfurl Tricolour on Republic Day at Shaheed Major Harminderpal Singh Government College, Mohali (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), said Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Viraj Shyamkarn Tidke.
Taking stock of the preparations being done at Government College, Mohali, he directed all the departments involved in the district level R Day Celebrations to deliver their duties diligently to make the National Importance event a great success.
He said that the program would be prepared well with the requisite advance rehearsals to be started from January 22 onwards at College ground. The full dress rehearsal would be performed on January 24 in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain and SSP Dr Sandeep Garg.
He said that the platoons of Police, Home Guards and NCC cadets would be the part of the R Day Parade. Students from various schools will be the part of PT show as well as Cultural Bonanza. Besides kit, Tableaus on the welfare and development schemes and exhibition stalls by various departments/Self Help Groups would also be exhibited on the occasion.
ADC (G) Viraj S Tidke asked all the departments present there to gear up for the National Day of Importance with full of joy and ferver to show the patriotism and integrity towards our Nation and the legendry Freedom Fighters who sacrificed themselves for independence struggle and great leaders who draft the Constitution to give us equal rights.
The officers who attended the meeting including Commissioner Mohali MC Mrs Navjot Kaur, Divisional Forest Officer Kanwardeep Singh, ADC (Rural Development) Mrs Sonam Chaudhary, ACA GMADA Amarinder Singh Tiawana, SDM Mohali Chandrajyoti Singh, Joint Commissioner MC Mohali Kiran Sharma, Chief Engineer Local Bodies Punjab Naresh Batta, Assistant Commissioner (G) Major (Retd.) Harjot Kaur Mavi, Field Officer Chief Minister Inder Pal, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training) Davy Goyal, DDPO Amaninder Pal Singh Chauhan, DEO Ginni Duggal, District Sports Officer Gurdeep Kaur and Tehsildar Mohali Kuldeep Singh Dhillon.
