Strict action will be taken against the officers in the Development and Panchayats Department against whom complaints related to corruption are received

Chandigarh, August 12- Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that strict action will be taken against the officers in the Development and Panchayats Department against whom complaints related to corruption are received. If the allegations are found to be true then action such as suspension and recovery will be taken against such officers.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Development and Panchayats Department, today chaired a meeting on the CM-Window to review the complaints received regarding the department. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. Amit Jha, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Bhupeshwar Dayal, Director General, Development and Panchayats, Sh. RC Bidhan, OSD to Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Kamlesh Bhadoo and other officers were present.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala expressed his displeasure over the pending investigation issues in the Development and Panchayats Department and warned the officers that they would not tolerate any disturbances made during rural development. He said that in future they will do a monthly review of major complaints coming to CM-Window. He directed the officers to make the records of the department online at the earliest so that no departmental officer can make excuses for missing and burnt records. He also said that the senior officers probing the complaints of malpractices would first take photographs of the relevant issues so that later records or facts are not tampered with in such cases.

Reiterating his commitment towards rural development, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he would not allow the hard earned money of the people to go into the pockets of corrupt people. He made strong remarks on the complaints of irregularities made by some sarpanchs in development works and said that if any sarpanch is in connivance with higher officials and commits malpractices, recovery will be made from the officer along with such sarpanch.
