Chandigarh, July 13- Haryana Government, taking important steps in the interest of the people of Khori slum area of Faridabad city, has prepared a special attractive rehabilitation scheme, under which the slum dwellers will get EWS flats equipped with facilities like electricity, water and toilets in Dabua Colony and Bapu Nagar area.

Giving information about this, Commissioner, Faridabad Municipal Corporation, Dr. Garima Mittal said that the Khori slum of Faridabad is not environmentally sound. Keeping in view this human aspect, a rehabilitation plan has been prepared for the residents of Khori area. A camp will be organized for the persons who want to join the rehabilitation scheme. She said that three documents have been included in the criteria set for the residents of Lakarpur Khori area of Faridabad that have been included in the rehabilitation scheme. In this, the income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 3 lakh annually, the name of the head of the family should be registered in the voter list of Badkhal assembly constituency of Haryana as on January 1, 2021. People included in the voter list of the National Capital Region of Delhi will not be included in the scheme. In the second document, the head of the family should have a Parivar Pehchan Patra issued by the state of Haryana till January 1, 2021. As a third document, any member of the family, male or female, should have an electricity connection issued by the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.

Dr. Garima informed that those who are found eligible for the scheme with any one of these three documents will be provided EWS flat with all facilities i.e. electricity, water and toilet in a 30 square meter multi-storey building in Dabua and Bapu Nagar area. She said that till the time the houses are not completed, Rs. 2000 per month would be made available to the concerned person for renting any other house for six months. She said that whoever fulfills the criteria laid down under the rehabilitation scheme will be given a flat worth Rs 3, 77, 500. This money has to be paid in fixed monthly installments. She said that within 15 days of allotment of flat, Rs. 17,000 would have to be deposited in lump sum. After this, an amount of Rs. 2500 will have to be paid in monthly installments for 15 years.
