Chandigarh, 5 September – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala said that Haryana will be the first state in the country to focus on aerospace and aviation as thrust-sector in its new industry policy.
Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala held a meeting with officers of various departments in Chandigarh regarding Haryana Enterprises Promotion Policy-2020. Thereafter, while interacting with the mediapersons he informed that the state government is finalising the draft of industrial policy to promote industries in the state. He added that the new industrial policy is being formulated so that it is beneficial for industrialists, increase investment in the state, youths get more jobs opportunities. He said that a series of meetings is underway to finalise this Haryana Enterprises Promotion Policy-2020. In the meeting held today, detailed discussions were held with senior officers of various departments so as to implement the new industrial policy.
Mr. Dushyant Chautala said that in order to provide favourable environment for the industries in the state, a new industrial policy is being formulated by the state government for the year 2020 to 2025, which will be implemented by next month. He said that the government has requested MLA, MPs and all industrial associations of the state as well as national level industrial associations like FICCI, ASSOCHAM to give their suggestions by September 8.
Deputy Chief Minister said that it is the priority of the state government to establish maximum units to import-export, especially in the thrust-sector in the state and the government is fully focussing on this while formulating the new industrial policy.
Referring to the bulk drugs-park associated with medical technology, he said that Haryana would be one of the leading states which will promote industrial units by dividing all its 22 districts into several clusters. In this meeting, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. V. Umashankar, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Mr. A.K. Singh, Director, Industries & Commerce, Mr. Saket Kumar and other officers were also present.
