Action plan of Rs 3856 crore approved for national highways in the state

An annual action plan of Rs 3856 crore has been approved by the Government of India for 724 km of national highways in the state. With this amount, work of strengthening of 51 national highways of the state, construction of bridges and new roads will be done. Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava has thanked the central government in this connection.
Principal Secretary, Public Works Department Neeraj Mandloi, informed that a detailed action plan prepared for the maintenance, quality control, widening, strengthening, construction of bridge and new highways passing through the state was sent to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has been approved by the Government of India. He informed that under this, 527 km of roads of 8 national highways will be widened. An amount of Rs 2966 crore has been approved for this work. Similarly, a provision of Rs. 526 crore has been made for land acquisition in construction of 210 kilometers of 11 national highways.
Rs 33 crore has been sanctioned for construction of three bridges to facilitate traffic on national highways, Rs 125 crore has been sanctioned for strengthening 197 km of roadways of 7 national highways. Similarly, Rs 200 crore has been sanctioned for the work of strengthening of 112 national kilometers on 22 national highways in the state and other works and an action plan of Rs 6 crores has been approved for preparing DPR of the state’s new 194 km national highways.
Rs 2966 crores to be spent on widening of 8 national highways
In the approved annual action plan for the year 2021-22, Rs 3 crore 4 lakh 55 thousand has been sanctioned for widening of 47 km area on Nasrullaganj-Rehati-Budhni road. Similarly, Rs 3 crore 6 lakh 54 thousand for 47 km route from Jeerapur Susner to Rajasthan border, Rs 4 crore 99 lakh for 81 km from Kuravai, Mungavali to Chanderi, Rs 3 crore 29 lakh for 78 km from Dindori-Sagar Tola, Rs 4 crore 36 lakhs for 53 kilometers covering Jeerapur-Pachore bypass, Rs 1 crore 78 lakhs for 40 kilometers of Kundam-Shahapura, Rs. 3 crore 56 lakhs for 87 kilometers covering Jaharkheda-Berasia-Dholkhedi bypass and Rs. 5 crore 56 lakh has been sanctioned for 94 kilometers covering the bypass from Dindori to Mandla.
Provision of Rs 526 crores for land acquisition of 11 national highways
Principal Secretary Neeraj Mandloi informed that land acquisition has to be done for the expansion work of 11 national highways in the state. For this, a provision of Rs 526 crore has been made for land acquisition of 12 km on NH-43 Powai bypass15 km on NH-943 Kaithi-Padariya bypass Patna, Tamoli bypass, Jasau bypass and Nagod bypass, 21 km on NH-552 Morena-Ambah bypass, 5.50 km on Khilchipur bypass, 19 km on Pachor-Shujalpur-Ashta bypass, 20 km on Porsa-Ater-Pratappura to Bhind bypass, 19 km on Mihona-Lahar-Davoh-Bhander bypass, 3 km on Birora bypass, 15 km on Chhatarpur bypass, Harpalpur bypass 10 km and 70 km on Shyampur to Sabalgarh.
Three bridges to be built at a cost of Rs 33 crores
Three small bridges will be constructed on Vidisha to Mailua road on NH-346 for which a provision of Rs 33 crore has been made.
Rs. 125 crores to be spent on strengthening of 7 National Highways
Under the approved action plan, roads to be strengthened include 4 kilometers on Khalghat-Kasrawad-Khargone-Bisthan road, 41 kilometers on Tikamgarh-Prithvipur to Orchha road, 36 kilometers on Shahgarh to Tikamgarh road, 47 kilometers on Indore to Betul road, 4 kilometers on Balaghat-Nainpur road, 4 kilometers from Betul to Ashapur Road and 60 kilometers on Daulakheri Square – Mailua Square – Kurwai Road.
Along with this, Rs 6 crore has been approved for preparation of 194 km DPR of 6 national highways and Rs 200 crore for various works in 112 km of 22 national highways.
