Chandigarh, May 4- Finance Commissioner of Haryana and Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal has instructed the officers to ensure that “Doctor on Call Service” is started in Faridabad within two days. He also asked the officers to ensure enhanced testing and submitting its report within a day of testing, setting up a call centre by the District Administration, providing kits of all essential medicines, including oximeters, constantly monitoring the oxygen supply, curbing black marketing of oxygen and essential medicines and ensuring the display of rate list for treatment being given outside each private hospital.

         Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal was holding a review meeting of the status and arrangements of Covid-19 with District Administration officers in district Faridabad today.

         He said that immediate action will be taken against those who impede oxygen supply or supply of medicines or are indulging in black marketing. He instructed the police officers to ensure implementation of lockdown and also take action against those who leave their homes without any work. Instructing the officers of the Health Department, he said that the rate list for treatment should be affixed outside each private hospital. Each private hospital should take the same fees from patients as prescribed.  For this, the Health Department should keep constant watch and also issue instructions to private hospitals.

         He laid emphasis on maximum testing and said that those who have symptoms of Covid-19 should be tested immediately and timely test reports should be available so to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.  Along with this, Sh. Kaushal instructed the officers of the District Administration to ensure that the testing report is provided within a day so that the work of preventing the spread of the infection can be done as soon as possible.  He also gave instructions to work at micro level for testing and said that for this we will have to activate more administrative staff.

         He said that call centres have to be strengthened for disseminating of information. Along with this, for the convenience of patients, the “Doctor on Call Service” is to be started within two days.  Chief Executive Officer of Faridabad Metropolitan Authority and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Smt. Garima Mittal has been appointed to carry out this work and this service will be started for the residents of Faridabad within 2 days so that people can be given consultation via telephone.  He instructed the officers of the Health Department to provide kits of all essential medicines, including oximeters to the people in home isolation. He asked the doctors to follow up with every patient on time and speak to them on how important they are for their families.  He said that it was their duty to look after the health of every person and for this better management should be ensured during the pandemic.

         In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal instructed the officers of the AYUSH Department that they must reach out to every person with an immunity booster so that the health of the people can be protected.  He also instructed to constantly monitor the oxygen supply.

         In the meeting, he instructed the officers of the District Administration that an integrated app for Covid-19 management should also be launched so that all the necessary information related to Covid-19 can be accessed there.

He said that the Health Department or Police Department are doing excellent work.
