Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today planted a Pipal sapling at the Chief Minister’s Residence premises. Chief Minister Chouhan plants a sapling every day under his resolve. Pipal is a shady tree. It purifies the environment. It also has religious and Ayurvedic significance. Apart from this, Pipal tree is also called Akshaya tree, because this tree is never leafless. It means it doesn’t shed all its leaves together. The leaves keep falling and new ones keep coming. Due to this quality of the Pipal tree, it has been described as a symbol of the life and death cycle.
