Meeting lasted till late night in Ahmedabad
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took a joint meeting of Sanchi and Amul to ensure procurement of milk from milk producers of Madhya Pradesh and help dairy farmers get the right price for milk. Various possibilities were considered in the meeting that lasted till late night on 10 January in Ahmedabad.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told to prepare a roadmap for collective participation of milk federations and milk unions of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat regarding milk collection, quality control, processing, marketing, capacity building, training, human resources, welfare schemes focused on dairy farmers to strengthen the interests of milk producers and the cooperative system.
Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Shri Lakhan Patel, Managing Director, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul), Shri Jayen Mehta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Raghavendra Singh, Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department Shri Gulshan Bamra, Managing Director M.P. State Co-operative Dairy Federation (Sanchi) Dr. Satish Kumar, President of Panchmahal Milk Union, Shri Jethabhai Bharwad and Shri Mitesh Mehta, Managing Director, Panchmahal Milk Union from Gujarat were present in the meeting. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was presented a memento on behalf of Amul and Panchmahal Milk Union.
