Chandigarh, June 5 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala has directed the officers of the Labour Department to ensure that financial assistance being given to the children of registered workers in the State at the time of their marriage, the Kanyadan amount for the marriage of girls and in case of death of any worker should be given to the family members/ applicant within 48 hours of submitting the application.
The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the charge of Labour and Employment Department, while presiding over the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board meeting here today said that the State Government will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the poor.
On this occasion Commissioner, Labour Department, Sh. Pankaj Agrawal, Joint Secretary of the Board, Sh. Anurag Gehlawat, Advisor to Board-Chairman, Sh. Prahlad Godara besides other officers of the department were present.
Sh. Dushyant Chautala, who is also the Chairman of Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board informed after the meeting that the software of ‘Central Processing System’ is being prepared by the Board so that the benefits of the welfare schemes can easily be provided to the registered workers. This will also bring transparency in the work and accelerate the process as well. He said that in case of delay in processing the applications, the accountability of the concerned officer or employee would be fixed.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that he has given directions to the officers of the Labour Department to study the beneficial schemes given to the registered workers by other State Governments. If the Haryana Government finds it beneficial, then they can be considered for implementation in the State as well.
