Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ scheme was launched on July 1, 2015 by Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal from Dayalpur village in Kurukshetra district.  Under this scheme, the villagers were requested to pay the outstanding electricity bills, to prevent power theft, as a result of which 24 hours uninterrupted power supply is started by identifying the villages which have low line loss.

He further informed that the work of ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ scheme is underway at a rapid pace so that all the villages of the state can have 24-hour electricity supply.  This scheme has brought positive changes in the behaviour of the rural consumers of the state towards timely payment of electricity bills, preventing power theft and cooperating with the employees of the electricity corporation.  All this has been possible only due to the hard work and honesty of the technical and non-technical employees of the Electricity Corporation.  The Electricity Corporation is committed to provide uninterrupted and continuous power supply to all its consumers.
