Chandigarh, September 30 – Haryana Chief Secretary, Mrs Keshni Anand Arora today released two books namely, ‘Combating COVID-19: Early Insights from Haryana’ and ‘Synopsis of Haryana Civil Service Rules’ documented by Haryana Institute of Public Administration.
The book, ‘Combating COVID-19: Early Insights from Haryana’, encapsulates the onerous process of developing and implementing policies and response plans undertaken by the Government of Haryana to detect threat of pandemic to health of people with an action response to alleviate its effect. Besides, central activity at the state level, it details the real time information on resourcefulness and ingenuity at the district and sub-district level to cope up with various dimensions and consequences of disaster. It would make people aware of the efforts made by the State Government to combat the pandemic and its allied impacts. It will also prove to be a source of information and guidance for the posterity in similar situation.
The other book, ‘Synopsis of Haryana Civil Service Rules’ (A Handbook for Haryana Government Officers has been prepared by Sh. Ram Saran, Principal, Divisional Training Centre (HIPA), Panchkula. It provides in one volume the essence of the 9 volumes of Haryana Civil Services Rules in a very concise, lucid and informative manner. In most cases an employee may not need to refer to anything more than what is contained in it. This book will enhance the efficiency of the Government Officers to take quick and accurate administrative decision.
