KATHUA, MAY 12, 2021: A 2250 LPM capacity Oxygen Generation Plant was commissioned today here at Government Medical College Kathua. Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav inspected the functioning of the plant and supply line linked to different wards of the Associated Hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Principal GMC Kathua Dr Anjali Nadir Bhat, Medical Superintendent Dr Chitra Vaishnavi, XEN Mechanical and other concerned officers.
The DC was apprised by the authorities that the with the commissioning of Oxygen Generation Plant the capacity of 80 oxygen Supported Beds will be doubled to 160 beds without any delay in Associated Hospital of GMC Kathua.
The DC said with the functioning of OG plant, the pressure on manual oxygen cylinder will be reduced to a great extent. He directed GMC authorities to maintain buffer stock of Oxygen which will help in catering the demands of Sub District Hospitals and other Health units of the district.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also took round of different sections of the hospital and enquired about the facilities and care being given to the Covid patients.
