Ludhiana, June 24:-
To Pay homage to brave heart Major Bhupinder Singh, MVC (posthumous), who made the ultimate sacrifice during Indo- Pak War 1965, a programme was organised at Nehru Rose Garden, Civil Line Ludhiana, by the 3 PB Girls Battalion NCC Ludhiana under the aegis of NCC Gp Ludhiana (NCC Dte PHHP & Chd) today morning.
The programme was attended by Ludhiana Gp Cdr Brig Jasjit Ghumman, commanding officers of different unit of Ldh Gp and NCC officers of Ludhiana besides NCC Cadets.
The programme included paying of floral tribute and wreath laying ceremony to the brave heart, patriotic songs and poems, which touched the heart and soul of all present. The programme culminated with the singing of the NCC Song and National Anthem. This was followed by tea.
Col Aman Yadav commanding Officer 3 Punjab Girls Ludhiana and Maj Sonia Soni Adm Officer 3 Punjab Girls Ludhiana have shown the gratitude of the Nation towards the brave hero by organizing this event.
In his address where in on one hand Brig Jasjit Ghumman, Gp Cdr Ludhiana acknowledged the sacrifice of our valiant soldier, he also urged the cadets to remain vigilant and leave no stone unturned to ensure the safety and security of our motherland. He said that sacrifice for securing the frontiers of the country was the greatest of all sacrifices.’
