Ludhiana, July 2 2021 In order to commemorate the 400th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Civil Lines organized an inter-college declamation competition on the topic of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji: Life and Teachings. Several registrations were received for this contest in which the shortlisted teams of various institutions from different parts of the state participated enthusiastically.
Dr. Sarabjot Kaur, Former Head, Post Graduate Department of Punjabi, Govt. College for Girls, Ludhiana, Dr. Rajinder Singh Sahil, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Hindi, G.H.G. Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar, and Ms. Parminder Kaur, Vice-Principal, GGN Public School were judges of the event.
The winners of the competition were awarded a set of books. Simarjot Singh of Panth Ratan Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra Institute bagged the first prize, second prize was received by Harleen Kaur, Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, and the third prize was received by Riya of Government Shivalik College, Naya Nangal.
President of Gujranwala Khalsa Education Council and Former Vice Chancellor GNDU, Amritsar Dr. S.P Singh and Honorary General Secretary of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College Arvinder Singh congratulated the winners and motivated all other participants to actively take part in such activities.
Principal, Dr. Arvinder Singh applauded the efforts of the organizing team of the declamation competition that comprised Dr. Dalip Singh and Dr. Mandeep Kaur.
