The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 616283 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on fifteenth day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 616283 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 616042 MT of wheat 241 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 140627 metric tonnes, MARKFED 149294 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 136677 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 94166 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 55960 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 39318 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 8417821 MT.
