The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 625483 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on seventeenth day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 625483 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 624974 MT of wheat 509 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 129579 metric tonnes, MARKFED 151875 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 134578 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 108304 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 61557 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 39081 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 9043304 MT.
