Recovery rate of COVID-19 patients reaches at 97.57%

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today informed that under the “Mission Fateh” of the Punjab government, the number of COVID-19 patients getting cured in district Ludhiana is increasing with each passing day. He said that there are 31 active patients in the district at present.
He said that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid-19. He said that a total of 4 patients (4 new patients from district Ludhiana) have tested positive in the last 24 hours.

He further said that till date, a total of 2441036 samples have been taken, of which 2341835 samples were found negative. He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 87526, while 11675 patients belong to other districts/states.
He said that the total number of persons who lost their lives including 2100 people from Ludhiana and 1049 from other districts.
He said that whenever the District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Similarly, 6278 samples of suspected patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma appealed to the residents to adhere all the safety protocols like wearing masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently of the Punjab government to not only save themselves but keeping everyone around safe.
