22 recover and discharged
Leh, Aug 23: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, total 69 persons were tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total positive reports, CMO Leh received 53 positive reports while CMO Kargil received 16 positive reports. With the death of two more patients from Covid-19 in Kargil district, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has gone up to 23.
The bulletin further details that 12 patients from Facility Isolation and one patient from Home Isolation at Leh and four patients from Home Isolation Kargil and five from Covid Care Centre were discharged today after their negative sample reports were received yesterday.
With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 765; 471 in Leh district and 294 in Kargil district and that the condition of all 765 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.
At Upshi check post 52 passengers, drivers, and helpers of 06 tankers, 29 trucks and 07 light vehicles were screened. Also 84 passengers and 240 drivers and helpers of 180 tankers, trucks and light vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. Vehicles were also sanitized. Similarly, 135 passengers were also screened at Leh Airport today.
