Fifteen hundred crores deposited in the accounts of 75 lakh farmers

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the government of Madhya Pradesh is farmer-friendly. Each grain of the farmer’s crop will be procured. The last date for procurement and loan repayment has been extended. Farmers will not be given any trouble. He appealed to farmers and farmer organizations to cooperate in the ongoing fight against Corona. The government cannot win on its own due to spread of contagious diseases. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing farmers from his residence through video conference after depositing Rs 1500 crore in the bank accounts of 75 lakh farmers today under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana. On this occasion, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Shri Kamal Patel also joined the web link along with the farmers of the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that small farmers use their produce to fulfill their needs. They do not get the benefits of the purchase schemes. Arrangements have been made to give Rs 4 thousand under the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana since last year. Under this scheme, Rs 1500 crore was transferred to the accounts of 75 lakh farmers today.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi a boon
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is a boon for small farmers. He informed that there are 78 lakh farmers in the state, out of whom only 24 lakh farmers are able to avail the benefit of minimum support price. Under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana, farmers with half an acre of land also get Rs 6 thousand in a year from the central government. Under the scheme, 77 lakh farmers have received about 8 thousand 465 crore rupees so far.
More than 90 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased
Chief Minister Chouhan informed that more than 90 lakh metric tonnes of wheat and more than one lakh metric tonnes of gram have been purchased. Lentils are also being purchased. The date of purchase for Indore division has been extended from May 5 to May 15. In other divisions, purchase will be done till 25 May.
Loan repayment date extended to May 31
Chief Minister Chouhan said that funds should be transferred in the account of farmers on time. Relentless efforts are being made against all odds. He said that the last date for repayment of loan obtained at zero percent interest has been extended till May 31. With this decision, the government will have to pay Rs 31 crore as interest to the banks.
Visit procurement centers with caution
Chief Minister Chouhan requested the farmers to visit procurement centers only if necessary. Masks should be worn with great care and social distancing norms must be followed. Hands must be sanitized regularly.
People engaged in procurement work must be appreciated
Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the officers and employees of Cooperatives, Food, Mandi labourers, hammals and other departments for continuing their procurement work while risking their lives.
Farmer friendly government
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government of the state is a farmer friendly government. Relief has been distributed by the government to compensate for the damage caused to the Kharif crops. The amount of crop insurance will also be deposited in the accounts of the farmers soon. The whole effort of the government is that the farmer should not face any trouble.
Government with farmers even under difficult circumstances
Chief Minister Chouhan has said that the whole country and the world is struggling against Covid crisis. The revenue of the government has also been reduced to half. A huge amount of money is being spent on the treatment of Covid patients. Treatment of patients is the government’s priority and dharma and it is being followed. Under such difficult circumstances, the government stands with the farmers. The state government is constantly standing with the farmers despite the difficult circumstances. It is working for their welfare. In future also, these works will continue, which will be mentioned when the time comes.
Free treatment to the poor
Chief Minister Chouhan said that free treatment will be provided to the poor. Along with the prevailing system of free treatment in all government and contracted private hospitals of the state, the package of Ayushman card has been increased by 40 percent and the system of free treatment of the poor has been strengthened. The entire family of the person possessing Ayushman card is entitled to free treatment. He told that there are more than 2 crore Ayushman card holders in the state.
Villagers should cooperate in Kill Corona campaign
Chief Minister Chouhan said that kadha etc. is being distributed to boost immunity. To prevent infection, it is necessary to break its chain. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the infected person as soon as possible. For this, house-to-house survey work is being conducted under the Kill Corona campaign. Cooperation of rural people is necessary for the success of the campaign.
Group of villagers for support of survey team
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the team of village level government staff is working in every house of the village to identify the infected persons. A team of social workers of the village should accompany them. This will make the survey work effective. The fight with Corona will be successful only when the people of the village take part in the fight. The government will extend their full cooperation. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that one must get tested as soon as symptoms of cold, cough and fever are noticeable and start medicines. Citing his own example, the Chief Minister said that he consulted the doctor as soon as he suffered high fever and recovered fast after taking medicines.
Visit Covid Care Center
Chief Minister Chouhan said that if there is no arrangement of isolation in the house, the patient must be sent to the Covid Care Center. Adequate arrangements have been made there. Efforts are being made to increase the availability of oxygen beds. Arrangements for telephonic consultation with doctors, yoga etc. have also been made at the center.
Cooperate in fight against Corona by staying at home
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government cannot fight Corona alone, as Corona is contagious. Therefore, the battle cannot be won by increasing facilities of treatment, it is necessary to break the chain of infection. Stay at home and protect the village and home from Corona.
Build Corona free village, prohibit entry
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the entry of outsiders into villages where Corona infection has not spread, should be checked. No one should go out of the village. If necessary, one or two people should go out and bring essential goods for everyone. If a person is admitted from outside, then his temperature should be checked. Quarantine the infected as required. He said that if the village is safe, everyone will be safe.
Avoid weddings in the month of May
Chief Minister Chouhan said that marriages are conducted for a life partner. It is not appropriate to put the life of your partner at risk. Therefore, do not organize any family, community and social events in the month of May. There should be no crowding anywhere.
Cooperate in ration distribution system
Chief Minister Chouhan said that poor families will get 3 months ration free from the state government and for two months from the central government. The family will get a ration of 5 months per person. There should be no crowding at the time of distribution. Rural people should cooperate in this arrangement.
Madhya Pradesh leads in infection control with public support
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the self-imposed curfew has started showing positive results. The state’s positivity rate has come down from 25 percent to 17-18 percent.
Facilities of treatment are getting better
Chief Minister Chouhan said that treatment arrangements are getting better in the state. The availability of oxygen has become sufficient through special arrangements of airplanes and railways. There will also be no shortage of medicines. The number of beds in hospitals has increased to 61 thousand. It is continuously increasing.
Vaccination centers will not be developed in hospitals
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the work of vaccination of persons above 18 years of age has started. The vaccination centers will be set up in other places, not in hospitals, schools, etc. Nine lakh vaccinations have been arranged per month. More than 5 crore vaccines have been ordered by the government. As availability increases, work will gain momentum. He said that vaccination is must. Scientists have tested the vaccine and asked people to get vaccinated.
