Action plan for development of Ram Van Path Gaman will be implemented in a phased manner
Chitrakoot will be developed on the lines of Ayodhya – Chief Minister

The initiatory meeting of Shri Ramchandra Path Gaman Trust was organized in the Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya auditorium of Chitrakoot. Presiding over the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that all the major places of Ram Van Path Gaman Marg including Chitrakoot will be developed. For this, a complete action plan will be prepared and implemented in a phased manner. Dimensions related to religious consciousness, spiritual development and Ram Katha, along with infrastructure development will also be included. Chitrakoot will be develop on the lines of Ayodhya to make it the most important religious destination related to the life of Lord Ram. Major places of Ram Van Path Gaman will be developed in consultation with scholars. Exhibition related to Ram Katha and Lord Ram’s life and information related to Ram Van Path Gaman should be displayed and publicized widely during the Diwali Fair and Amavasya Fair of Chitrakoot.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work of construction of Parikrama Path of Lord Kamtanath should be started soon. He directed to activate the District Tourism Promotion Council and conduct tourism activities in Chitrakoot. Amavasya fair will be included in the tourism calendar. He instructed to generate public awareness about the construction works related to Ram Van Path Gaman. Cultural and religious programmes will be organized at major places of Ram Van Path Gaman.
He told to connect the general public through events like motor cycle rally on the Ram Van Path Gaman Marg. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released a book based on temples of the state which contains photographs of 155 major temples and information on 6800 Ram temples. Principal Secretary Endowments and Culture Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, apprising about the action plan prepared for Ram Van Path Gaman, said that the Ram Van Path Gaman route in the state covers a distance of 1450 kilometers. The route includes 23 major religious destinations including places like Satna, Panna, Katni, Amarkantak, Shahdol, Umaria etc. Minister of State for Endowments Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing Pratima Bagri, MP Ganesh Singh, Dr. Jitendra Jamdar, MLA Chitrakoot Surendra Singh Gaharwar, Additional Chief Secretary Home and Endowments Department Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary Public Works Sukhveer Singh, Commissioner Urban Administration Bharat Yadav, Director Tourism Development Corporation Dr. Ilaiyaraaja T, Commissioner in charge Rewa Smt. Pratibha Pal, Collector Satna Anurag Verma and other officers and members of the Trust were present. Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana and other officers took part virtually in the meeting. Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University, Dr. Bharat Mishra honoured Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by presenting him a shawl, shriphal and memento.
