Chandigarh, May 4 – Amid surge in COVID-19 cases, Haryana Government has ordered lockdown in the State till May 10, 2021 (5:00 AM). During the lockdown, the movement of public should be limited and controlled through system of movement passes. For this, the General Administration Department has developed an application for citizens to acquire movement passes during lockdown on saralharyana.gov.in portal.
Divulging more details in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the said web-portal includes provisions for the Deputy Commissioners to examine the citizen movement pass applications and allow or disallow the same.
All Deputy Commissioners are directed to scrutinize all applications of citizens for “Movement Passes” on the said web-portal and approve or decline the applications within a few hours.
In case of heavy workload of applications, the Deputy Commissioners can create sub- users on the said web-portal to delegate the tasks of approving movement passes to their junior officers.
No person shall be allowed to move during lockdown without a valid “e-pass” issued from the “saralharyana” web-portal.
